40 students from coaching, sport management, exercise and sport sciences and recreation departments participated to the seminar under the coordination of Academician Tekmil Sezen Göksu and Academician Deniz Demir Bolçay

“Seminar for Sportive Magazine Publishing and Editorship” which is an activity of the Sport Studies Center Series is held on October 31, Wednesday, between 18:00 and 20:00 hours at Fener Hall of Sport Studies Center located at Cibali. Guest speaker Banu Yelkovan, started her professional career as a journalist at Radikal newspaper. She worked as the general manager at Four Four Two. She also worked at the television channels CNN Türk and NTV Sport.

Today, she is working as the chief editor of the German edition of Socrates. Miss Yelkovan who is working in sport media since years, replied questions of students from Istanbul Gelisim University School of Physical Education and Sport.

During the seminar which is conducted interactively, students are informed especially about magazine editorship, specifications of a person who wants to work as an editor, target group of sport magazines and criteria in electing the writers. Our students and graduates of the School of Physical Education and Sport, who want to work in this sector, had a very pleasant talk on how to proceed on this path. Our students were remarkable by their questions and interest during the and after the seminar. We thank them for their interest and learning desire.
