 Exercise Recommendations for Cancer Patients

It is clearly recommended for patients with cancer to avoid activity, and it is stated that even a little exercise is more beneficial than no exercise
For cancer patients, it is recommended to engage in physical activity, even if it is only a small amount.
The American Sports Medicine Association recommends at least 150 minutes
of moderate-paced exercise per week, 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise, or a
combination of both.
Additionally, it is suggested to perform exercises that engage large muscle groups 2-3 times per week.
To improve flexibility, it is recommended to perform stretching movements that target large muscle groups and tendons during various activities.
It is important to start with low intensity and duration of exercise and gradually increase it as the patient's medical condition allows.
Being physically active throughout life can reduce the risk of many cancers, including colorectal and breast cancer.

Regular exercise after a cancer diagnosis can lead to a decrease in pain, improvement in treatment side effects, and psychological well-being.

Patients with cancer should be encouraged to exercise regularly.
