Istanbul is set to host the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships, marking the first time the event will be held in Turkey in over half a century. The opening ceremony took place at Ataköy Arena with the participation of 47 countries. Our students from the School of Physical Education and Sports supported the event as Sports Volunteers. At the opening ceremony, attendees wore black t-shirts in solidarity with those affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. The message 'Turkey is one heart' was written on the t-shirts to convey unity. We extend our gratitude to the students who supported the international sports organization.
