Career Management and Entrepreneurship in Sport, with Mr. Şenol Güneş

We have invited Mr. Şenol Güneş, by the intermediary of Academicin Tekmil Sezen Göksu, for “Total Quality Management in Sport” class of Seniors of School of Physical Education and Sport of Istanbul Gelisim University.

Mr. Şenol Güneş, is graduated from Department of Sport Management of School of Physical Education and Sport of Marmara University and had his graduate degree in Human Resources. He is the founder of “sporkariyerim.com.tr”, providing “Human Resources Management and Sportive Career Training Consultancy”, being the first of Turkey as “employment bureau dedicated to sport sector”.

It is aimed that expectations related to the job role undertaken by the students of the School of Physical Education and Sport be satisfied, that the students be equipped  with necessary know-how, skill, ability and motivation necessary to realize their wishes  and enable them to advance on their career path, supporting them in gaining their entrepreneurship spirit  so that they can increase their career performances.

Guest speaker of “Fit Careers” session held in October 19, 2018, Mr. Şenol Güneş gave valuable information to the students on planning their careers, preparing their C.V., participating into job interviews and being employed in sport sector. Importance of participating into spreading the concept of “Volunteering in National and International Sport Organizations” throughout Turkey and providing its continuity was one of the subjects that were discussed.  Mr. Şenol Güneş is working each year together with the students of Istanbul Gelisim University, who participate into various sport organizations, as “volunteers”. We are trying to have our students participate in these organizations, especially for enabling them to gain professional experiences and to contact different job groups. We hope that the interviews, panels and organizations we participate, will be beneficial for our students in advancing in their career.

The interactive session ended in a pleasant mood. We will participate, as School of Physical Education and Sport of Istanbul Gelisim University to sport organizations which will take place in the coming days.
