Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) School of Physical Education and Sports (Department of Exercise
and Sports Sciences for the Disabled), " Sign Language Education" seminar, which is open to all
students studying at the school of physical education and sports within the scope of the department
activity, was held by Neslihan Kurt in class H block 420. It was carried out under the guidance of.
The school principal, the head and vice president of the exercise and sports sciences department for
the disabled, and faculty members also attended the seminar. In the seminar, Neslihan Kurt gave
information on hearing impaired culture, the advantages and disadvantages that hearing impaired
individuals face in daily life, different expression styles of sign language according to regions and
countries, and the equivalents of letters in the Turkish alphabet in sign language (finger alphabet).
At the end of the seminar, Kurt, who answered the students' questions, was presented with a plaque
and flowers by the head of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled.
